The Michelin Commander III Touring Motorcycle Tyre is the newest offering from Michelin for all tyres of Touring Motorcycles.

The Michelin Commander III Touring Motorcycle Tyre is designed to go the distance with enhanced wet grip and longevity that exceeds its predecessor thanks to new tread compounds. The Tyre is wet oriented without wear compromise with 100% silica rubber compound on front and rear Tyre which provides better wet grip and more safety. Silica Rich Technology has also been used to improve grip in cooler temperatures and on wet roads, without compromising tread life - offering total performance of wet and cold grip.

This Tyre has a distinctive Tread Pattern and patented premium touch technology on the sidewall design to enhance the styling of V-Twin Motorcycles. This touch technology creates a contrast by light absorption via a micro geometry on the tyre surface and allows to modulate the contrast and create shades of grey.

There is a new mould profile which optimises the contact patch for a better homogenous pressure on the ground which allows for the Tyre to wear regularly and experience adhesion in wet conditions, even when curving. The Tyre also features Amplified Density Technology - a highly dense, more rigid Tyre casing which helps to deliver excellent feedback and handling. Aramid tread plies on the Rear Tyre resist centrifugal growth, reduce weight and provide excellent stability - offering total performance of handling.

The new Tread Pattern and profiles mentioned above help to increase grip and mileage - according to internal tests versus the previous generation Michelin Commander II in 2019 on a Harley Davidson Electra Glide with tyre sizes front 130/80 B17 (65H) and rear 180/65 B16 (81H).
