Dunlop SPORTSMART TT
The Dunlop Sportsmart TT Motorcycle Tyre makes switching road and track day tyres a thing of the past. From your favourite roads to the most testing of tracks – the sensational Sportsmart TT delivers outstanding performance.
- Rare balance between reduced steering effort and optimum turn-in grip
- Reassuring and fun handling on the road
- Race-tyre like performance on the track
- Optimum grip achieved through the introduction of Speed Vent Tread (SVT)
- Long lasting and consistent performance
- Safe grip, both on the road and on track
The Dunlop Sportsmart TT Motorcycle Tyre features a JointLess Belt construction. All radial street tyres from Dunlop are designed using a combination of Computer Aided Design (CAD) technology and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as well as JointLess Belt (JLB) construction (either front or rear). JLB construction eliminates the belt overlaps resulting in smoother handling and a more stable contact patch with the road.
A new technology called NTEC RT has been included to allow for tuning rear inflation pressures to optimise contact patch for a greater track performance by increasing mechanical grip and wear over a larger surface.
The front Tyre features a Revised Dynamic Front Profile which meets the needs of demanding road riders and extreme track application - finding the rare balance between lower steering effort and optimum turn-in grip, to give you enhanced feedback for supreme confidence in the front when braking and turning. Dunlop’s Dynamic Front Formula (DFF) design approach provides the ideal balance between steering effort, stability and feedback, delivering unparalleled rider confidence and enjoyment.
There is also the Innovative Speed Vent design which optimises the temperature control system of the tyre through the intricately calculated tread groove pattern, so that they open and close when the tyre turns to create a vent-like effect to improve heat dissipation.
The Sportsmart TT Tyres have a Multi-tread (MT) technology. Years of success in global Superbike, Endurance and GP championships have resulted in the development of a pioneering multi-compound, which is transferred to many of our current Sportmax track and road products. By mixing compounds, the same tyre can display different performance properties at maximum leaning angles than when upright during straight line speed.
